1st King’s Sutton Boys’ Brigade & Girls’ Association
The Boys’ Brigade is a Christian Uniformed Organisation, which has been part of our church for 60 years, now welcoming girls alongside boys it is part of an international organisation that has over 100 years of heritage.
Our Company meets on Tuesday evenings in our hall, during term time. From September 2026 we are relaunching our Anchors Section, for those in Reception to Year 2, whilst combining the sections that we have running for those in Year 5 to Year 9.
New for September 2026, the Anchor Section is open to those in Reception to Year 2. Meeting from 6pm until 7pm, their evening is packed full of games and activities. All with the hope it will help them grow and learn new skills, whilst building friendships. Our small team of volunteers endeavour to ensure that each evening is fun and safe for all to enjoy.
Our Anchors Launch Night is on Tuesday 15th September 2026 at 6pm. Parents or Guardians are welcome to stay for the evening to meet the team and learn a little more about what Brigade is all about.
Our older section is a combination at the moment of those currently in our Juniors and Company section, those in Years 5 to Year 9. Also meeting on a Tuesday evening in our hall from 7:15pm to 8:30pm. This section has a rolling 5 week term programme with each week having a different focus. Our weekly focuses are, Sport, Cooking, Crafts, Into the Bible and Community. At the moment this group is currently full, but you are welcome to register interest and join our waiting list.
The volunteer leaders team provide a safe and welcoming space for children and young people, inspired by our faith we believe that Brigade can help those who come along live life to its fullest.
